The ESEE 3PM35V knives are hardened at the optimal 59-60 Rc, making them incredibly durable. Unlike our ESEE-3 1095 models, this premium steel knife is not something the ESEE crew would personally carry or trust their lives to. The production of this model is solely based on the request of our customer base. Our opinion is that the extra cost for the premium steel does not justify the minimal gains in edge-holding and stain resistance, especially considering its inability to withstand the same level of abuse as our regular knives.
